Logging and everyday use
How long does it take to log a match?
Three steps: tournament, match and sequence. Short on time between two matches? Save just the basics and add the scores later. Whatever you enter is kept as a draft in the meantime.
What if I can’t remember everything?
Then you fill in what you do remember. For a throw, ne-waza or penalty, tap Unknown, and an opponent can stay unknown. A score without a time still counts, just not in the per-minute chart.
7 more questions about logging and everyday use
Does it work on iPhone and Android? Is it in the App Store?
It works on both, and on your laptop, with the same account. JudoLytics isn’t in the App Store or Play Store: you add it to your home screen from the browser, via Safari on an iPhone and via Chrome or Samsung Internet on Android. After that it opens like an app.
Does it work without internet?
For logging, yes. Whatever you enter offline stays on your device and syncs as soon as you’re back online. Handy in a sports hall with bad Wi-Fi.
Which stats do I see?
More than 20 analyses of your matches: throw direction, scores on the clock, techniques, shidos with their reason and golden score. You see most of them on every plan, including Free. Pro adds filters, such as by tournament or against a left-hander, and your kumi-kata.
How does dictation work?
Almost every text field has a microphone button. Your browser turns your voice into text, if it supports that. There’s no AI behind it.
Do I get reminders?
If you want them. Your recovery check every day, a question about how it went shortly after a planned training session, a nudge the day before your competition day, and after a tournament a question about your matches and your final placing. Every week a summary arrives by email. You turn each type on or off separately, and for the recovery check you pick the time and days yourself.
Which languages?
English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Everyone picks their own language. Judo terms stay Japanese: ippon is ippon everywhere.
Can I import my IJF or JudoManager matches?
Yes, on Pro. You import your own matches from the IJF database or JudoManager after giving separate consent for it. You can withdraw that consent in Settings. Anything that isn’t in there, you log yourself.
Coach, club and sharing
What does my coach see?
By default your coach sees what you log: matches, training, recovery, measurements, reflections and your development plan. You can change that per topic in your settings, down to Only me. Your clubmates see at most your matches, match plans, opponents and sport measurements. Your weight, reflections, training and recovery can never go to the whole club.
I’m a coach. Do I need a different account?
No. Coaches start with a regular account, just like judokas; your role in the club decides which screens you see. The coach cockpit, with your group’s training, load and recovery, is in Pro. Planning training sessions and following your judokas’ development plans comes with Elite.
5 more questions about coach, club and sharing
Can my coach log my matches?
Yes, a coach or manager of your club can, as long as you have a plan or are in your trial week. The match stays yours and shows up in your own overview as usual.
Does it work without a club?
Yes. Choosing a club is optional; everything also works if you only track your own judo.
Can I bring my club on board?
Yes. You can start a club on any plan, free included, and invite your judokas and coaches with a link or QR code. Everyone keeps their own account.
What does it cost for a club?
Starting a club costs nothing. Every judoka and coach has their own plan; for the coach cockpit that’s Pro. If the club wants to pay for the plans centrally, get in touch via the page for coaches and clubs.
What happens if I switch clubs?
If you switch clubs, your data comes with you, such as your matches, training sessions and measurements. You decide what your new club gets to see.
Youth, data and privacy
Does it work for young judokas, and what do parents do?
Yes, a young judoka creates a regular account. If your child is under the age at which they can consent themselves in your country, they confirm when signing up that a parent agrees. There’s no separate parent account: you look at your child’s account together, and your child decides what the coach sees.
Where is my data stored, and who can access it?
In the EU (Frankfurt), encrypted at rest and in transit. The database itself enforces that only you can access it, plus anyone you let in. You can turn on two-step verification yourself. Payments go through Stripe; JudoLytics never sees your card details.
1 more question about youth, data and privacy
Can I take my data with me or have it deleted?
Yes. You export everything as one file and delete your account from your settings. After that you have 30 days to change your mind. All that remains are anonymized totals that can’t be traced back to you.
Price and trial
What do I get in the trial?
7 days of Pro, no credit card. After that you go back to free unless you choose a plan, and nothing gets deleted. If you join through an invite link from someone who already uses JudoLytics, you get 14 days.
What can I do for free?
Log 5 matches, with your stats, and be a member of a club. With no end date. Training sessions, opponent dossiers and the development plan come with a plan.
3 more questions about price and trial
Which plan is right for me?
If you want to log everything, Starter is enough. If you compete in tournaments and want to see what works, with match plans, load and your development plan, we recommend Pro. Elite is for coaches with a group, and for judokas who scout two opponents at once or jump from a score to their video.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect right away; you pay the prorated difference. A downgrade takes effect at the end of your period, and you can always cancel in your settings. You keep everything until the end of your paid month or year. After that, what you logged stays visible; only adding new things falls back to the free limit.
Can I get a refund?
Not automatically. If you think you’re entitled to a refund, email info@judolytics.com within 14 days of the payment. The details are in the terms of service.
